We offer a unique approach to construction; providing personal management of the entire construction process, closely working with the appointed designer, assisting in site surveys, logistical appraisals and full construction with our in-house hard and soft landscaping teams. We can then customize this personal service with our dedicated in-house Maintenance teams.
What we do
Gardenlink are an award-winning landscape construction business which specialises in working directly with garden designers and landscape architects to turn their creative vision into a high-quality fully planted and landscaped garden. We don’t do our own in-house design as we leave that to the expertise of the designers, but many of our clients take advantage of our complimentary pre-design feasibility advice service and we are always able to recommend designers who we feel are most likely to match our clients’ requirements and make their vision a reality. Once created, the garden can then be expertly maintained by our Maintenance Division to ensure it always looks its best. Led by Dan Flynn, Gardenlink has over 20 years’ experience working with many of the UK’s leading garden designers and are winners of three RHS Chelsea gold medals.
Dan commenced his career working for one of London’s leading landscaping companies as Contracts Manager, overseeing local and international contracts and six Chelsea Flower Shows. In 2001 he set up Gardenlink, which soon became one of the preferred contractors for over 40 of the leading landscape designers, carrying out projects all over the UK and in Europe. Gardenlink have constructed several award-winning show gardens, including three Chelsea Gold Medals, one Best in Show, and were also awarded the President’s Award in 2012 – the first time it had been awarded to a Main Avenue garden.
Dan is frequently requested to lecture to students, such as at The English Gardening School, on garden construction from the viewpoint of the contractor. In addition, for the past three years he has had the honour of acting as an RHS judge at their prestigious Flower Shows at Chelsea, Hampton Court, Chatsworth and Tatton Park, again offering advice on the construction of the show gardens.
Gardenlink works hand-in-hand with designers to provide in-house skilled operatives to carry out works from earthworks to all aspects of construction. Trained horticulturists then plant the garden, and thereafter most of our clients take advantage of the option to take out a maintenance contract with weekly or fortnightly visits from our maintenance teams, allowing the gardens to fulfil their full potential.
The majority of our staff are directly employed and are divided into 3 divisions who all work alongside each other with skilled operatives assisting each Foreperson. The divisions are split into: hard landscaping, soft landscaping & planting, and maintenance, each with their own teams. These teams are then backed up by an organised and approachable office and management structure of five team members.
